About Aina

Aina Fadina is an investor, creative leader, strategic thinker, and fashion model with over two decades of experience across venture capital, tech, and creative industries. She works closely with early-stage startups, helping founders navigate key challenges such as fundraising, building a team, product-market fit, scaling their business operations, and mental well-being. Through her experience as an investor, Aina has championed innovative ventures, providing capital and mentorship to support long-term growth.

Before venture capital, Aina built a career as a high-fashion and commercial model, serving as an in-house muse for luxury retailers and designers across the U.S., Europe, and Africa. Her global perspective and passion for storytelling inspired her to create, produce, and host I of Africa, a digital series spotlighting innovators across venture capital, fashion, art, tech, music, and film, all influenced by Africa’s rich heritage and Diaspora. As an entrepreneur, combining her nuanced business knowledge and refined creative strategy, Aina was at the helm of Afad & Co., a consulting firm providing services to VC firms, startups, creative brands, and nonprofits.

As a speaker, Aina has shared her journey and insights at leading tech companies and business schools, including Airbnb, SOCAP Global, Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania, Columbia Business School, NYU Stern, and Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (CITY).

She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Public Health Administration from Temple University. In addition, she took advanced courses at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), University College of London (UCL), and University of California, Berkeley.

As part of her path to VC, Aina was selected as part of the inaugural cohort of VC Include X Nasdaq Fund Fundamental Emerging Manager program.

Aina is an Associate Director Board Member of Amref Health Africa.
